New Photo Of Zack Snyder Directing ‘Justice League’

Last month, our own editor-in-chief Umberto Gonzalez had the opportunity to travel to London to visit the set of the upcoming Justice League film alongside other film journalists. Despite the mixed-to-negative response of Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros. and DC Films seemingly aimed to change the narrative in terms of how the consensus towards the DC Extended Universe going forward would turn out.

Luckily, it seems that WB and DC have proven to Umberto and the other reporters that they are steering into a different direction for Justice League. There looks to be a particular tonal shift for our heroes and according to producer Deborah Snyder, she believes “the darkest where we’ll be is where we’ve been.”    If you want to read an in-depth look at what Umberto learned from his visit, you can click here.

Thankfully, DC set photographer Clay Enos shared a photo via Instagram of Zack Snyder along with cinematographer Fabian Wagner preparing a shot on set. It seems deliberate that Enos has focused on these two in this photo, seeing how difficult it is to tell what type of scene is being shot – but nonetheless, seeing Snyder in anything official from this set makes the film feel all the more real.

As production continues for the hotly-anticipated movie along with both San Diego Comic Con and DC’s Suicide Squad quickly approaching, we are inevitably going to see more news rollout for Justice League. I think it is safe to assume that we will get our official glimpse at the film and perhaps a team shot at WB’s Hall H presentation.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.  Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.  But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Amber Heard, and Willem Dafoe, Justice League hits theaters November 17, 2017.
