Nicholas Hoult Thinks He Is Returning For The Next ‘X-Men’ Film

While promoting his new film Collide, Nicholas Hoult revealed he believes he is indeed returning for another outing as Beast in the next X-Men film.

X-Men star Nicholas Hoult is currently promoting his new film Collide which hits theaters today. The film follows Hoult as he attempts to pull off a drug heist in order to pay for a kidney transplant for his girlfriend (Felicity Jones).

The X-Men franchise has been generating a lot of buzz over the last two weeks after Sophie Turner stated that she is returning for the next X-Men film which Simon Kinberg is rumored to be in talks to direct. But up until now, we haven’t heard anything about whether or not the film would feature the return of Hoult as Hank McCoy aka Beast.

Hoult recently sat down with HeyUGuys and naturally the conversation shifted to the future of the X-Men franchise. When asked if he would be returning to the franchise, the actor revealed he thinks he is:

“I think I’m involved. I’d be happy to go back – I love playing that character and I love everyone involved and I know there’s one in the works…”

While 20th Century Fox has not yet officially announced a new X-Men film, rumors of a project codenamed X-Men: Supernova with a working title of Dark Phoenix have been floating around, however, none of that has yet to be confirmed. But another stab at the Dark Phoenix saga would most certainly be welcomed by fans considering the disappointing attempt by the studio in 2006 with X-Men: The Last Stand.

So what do you guys think? Do you want to see Hoult get another shot at playing Beast? Considering the next film in the franchise seems to be following the younger cast it would only make sense.
