Spider-Noir is looking better than ever! Nicolas Cage brings a new duality to Spider-Man in a new set of posters for the upcoming series.
Spider-Noir has an odd habit. Most comic book projects trickle out their news, carefully planning out their publicity to try to ensure that the movie or series is always on people’s minds until release. That is certainly not true with Spider-Noir. Much like Nicolas Cage himself, the show seems prone to brash, overindulgent bursts of news before disappearing from the public eye.
This past week has been no different. Fans were flooded with a litany of news items about Spider-Noir: official images, casting confirmations, and even interviews with the crew about some creative choices for the show. Though, perhaps the most exciting piece out of everything showcased, two new posters for Nicolas Cage’s hero that confirm a trailer is coming tomorrow.

The Duality Of Spider-Noir
The two posters, one in black and white and one in color, do a great job at highlighting the duality inherent to a project like Spider-Noir. On one hand, Nicolas Cage’s Ben Reilly is a detective trying to do good by his city. On the other, he dresses up in a trenchcoat and punches the tar out of super villains made of sand.
It’s a duality that most modern Spider-Man adaptations don’t grapple with, preferring to instead focus on how the hero identity is affecting Peter Parker’s social life. By making Nicolas Cage an adaptation of Ben Reilly, Spider-Noir has the unique opportunity to analyze the character’s place in society and if he’s doing more harm than good.
