Marvel is officially bringing Nova to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Kevin Feige has revealed the release window for the show, along with what version of the character they’ll be using.
Fans have been speculating that a Nova series was in the works for years. This weekend, Marvel randomly decided to indulge MCU fans by confirming that the project is indeed happening. This comes from the big man himself, Kevin Feige, who revealed the news when he sat down with ComicBook.com for an interview.
Marvel fans shouldn’t get too excited, though. Kevin Feige was quick to temper expectations, admitting that the Nova series wouldn’t be released for another three to four more years. While it wasn’t confirmed, it’s likely that the show will land on Disney Plus, much like the other MCU shows.
Which Nova Is Coming To The MCU?
Anyone who knows anything about Nova knows that, much like DC’s Green Lantern, the mantle has been held by many heroes in the Marvel universe. While it would’ve been a joy to see any of the characters join the MCU, it was confirmed by Kevin Feige that the upcoming series will focus on the first and most popular Nova: Richard Rider.
It’s unclear who Kevin Feige and the rest of Marvel Studios would get to play Richard Rider when he comes to the MCU. A few weeks back, rumors began to circulate that Ryan Gosling was in talks to portray Nova in whatever series was being cooked up, but it’s unclear if anything came of those talks.
