The producers behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse tried to get Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in a scene of the animated movie.
Although Into the Spider-Verse had plenty of references to previous live-action movies starring the Web-Slinger, the producers behind the film tried to get Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in a scene together. Fans have wondered whether the three live-action Spider-Men could’ve appeared in the film since the Spider-Verse includes every version of the hero.
During ComicBook.com’s Quarantine Watch Party of the film, producer Christopher Miller revealed that they pitched a scene to Sony that featured the three modern live-action Spider-Men meeting Spider-Ham. Miller explained that Sony felt it would be too soon for the three heroes to meet on-screen. Hopefully by the time the sequel rolls around in 2022 they’ll be able to fit them all in somewhere.
