Marking this year’s Star Wars Day, Disney has released a new trailer and poster for Obi-Wan Kenobi, which debuts on Disney Plus later this month.
Obi-Wan Kenobi sees the return of Ewan McGregor as the iconic Jedi Master he last portrayed in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The series takes place ten years after Revenge of the Sith and finds Obi-Wan living in exile on Tatooine, as he watches over the young Luke Skywalker. It will also take Obi-Wan to new worlds, such as the neon metropolis of Daiyu, and see him once again confronted by his former apprentice, Darth Vader. Hayden Christensen reprises the role of Vader.
The new trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi teases Darth Vader’s presence in the series, offering a look at his cybernetics being put into place and ending on the sound of his mechanical breathing. The trailer also reveals more footage of the Inquisitors who will be seen in live action for the first time, seemingly confirming the appearance of the Seventh Sister, who was introduced in the animated series Star Wars Rebels. The new poster accompanying the trailer superimposes a distant Darth Vader over the image of Obi-Wan. Check out the new trailer and poster below:
While Star Wars fans eagerly await the arrival of Obi-Wan Kenobi, they can take a look behind the scenes of the most recent Disney Plus Star Wars series, The Book of Boba Fett, in the new Disney Gallery: The Book of Boba Fett special released on the streaming service today.
