New rumors surrounding Moses Ingram’s Reva in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series have surfaced.
Potential spoilers ahead!
While much of the focus with Obi-Wan Kenobi is on the return of Darth Vader and the live-action debut of the Grand Inquisitor, the series will also feature other villains. Moses Ingram is also expected to play a prominent role as the Inquisitor Reva, and a new report suggests we will get to see a lot of her origins in the upcoming series.
According to Making Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi will flashback to Reva being taken in by the Jedi Order at a young age, to her turn to the dark side after almost being killed during Order 66. The Grand Inquisitor will also test Reva throughout the series and in a rivalry with the Fifth Brother.
In the series, it seems Kenobi will empathize with Reva a little bit since he also went through Order 66. Reva’s turn to the dark side also sounds similar to what we’ve seen with Barris Offee in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. A similar arc was also given to the Second Sister in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Perhaps Lucasfilm is looking to spin off Reva with her own series if she survives?
Here is the synopsis for the upcoming Star Wars series:
During the reign of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi embarks on a crucial mission. Kenobi must confront allies turned enemies and face the wrath of the Empire.”
Directed by Deborah Chow from Joby Harold’s scripts, the series stars Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie. The series will also see the return of legendary Star Wars composer John Williams, who scored a theme.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will hit Disney Plus on May 27, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming series, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
