Fans finally have their first look at Avengers: Doomsday! Speculation is already mounting about what the blurry image could mean for the MCU film.
Much has been said about Avengers: Doomsday. Perhaps more than any other MCU film aside from the upcoming X-Men reboot, the project has been inundated with reports from the rumor mill, BTS photos, and interviews from cast members. However, despite this, Marvel has yet to release an official image from the project.
That is, until today. The Russo Brothers recently posted an image to their Instagram with the simple caption #DoomsdayIsComing. While the picture is blurry, all signs point to this being the first official look fans have gotten at a scene from Avengers: Doomsday. Which, of course, has led to plenty of wild speculation on the rumor mill.
What Does The Avengers: Doomsday Image Mean?
As of writing, fans have been unable to decipher any of the words present in the image. However, the white text on a dark background seem to suggest that the picture is of a chalkboard. And given the color and thickness of the trim matching that of Reed Richards’ chalkboard in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, many assume this could be the hero figuring out how incursions work during the events of Avengers: Doomsday.
This would line up with what fans’ know about the Fantastic Four’s role in Avengers: Doomsday, with Doctor Doom traveling to their world to “recruit” Franklin Richards. If Doom tells Reed about the incursions, a scene showing him trying to stop them and explaining their mechanics to the group could be the perfect place for this image to stem from.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters in December 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
