Is Moon Knight gone for good? Oscar Isaac finally speaks out on if he’ll make his return as one of the most controversial heroes in the MCU.
Perhaps no MCU character can better be described as controversial than Oscar Isaac’s take on Moon Knight. Many fans of the character’s comic incarnation absolutely despise the Disney Plus series, viewing it as an absolute mockery of the character. However, other fans see it as an absolutely trippy triumph, being one of the few gems in the rough of the MCU’s growing years.
This has left fans and critics alike perplexed by Marvel’s decision to now have Oscar Isaac return as the character. The series itself was received relatively well outside of fandom circles, and it seemed as though the MCU was on track to build a supernatural corner to its universe. Then, as if overnight, all plans for the expansion seemed to just stop.
Will Oscar Isaac Return As Moon Knight?
After years of silence, Oscar Isaac has finally decided to speak out about not making his expected return as the character. Of course, he couldn’t exactly tell fans the exact details when it comes to plans for Marc Spector. However, he did tease that Moon Knight could be making an appearance on the silver screen sooner rather than later.
“We’ll see, maybe one day,” Isaac remarked during a recent convention appearance captured on TikTok. “Or in a movie we’ll see him [return].”
If this comment means anything, it’s likely that Oscar Isaac is teasing the long-rumored Midnight Suns movie. It makes sense the character would return there, as Moon Knight is one of the most highly-requested characters when it comes to joining the team. However, given Marvel has had a lot of trouble getting projects of certain other supernatural characters off the ground, fans likely shouldn’t hold their breath for him to come back anytime soon.
