Paramount’s ‘Mission: Impossible’ Sequels, Animated ‘Transformers’ & ‘TMNT’ Get New Release Dates

Paramount Transformers Rise of the Beasts Star Trek Mission: Impossible

Paramount announced new release dates for the Mission: Impossible sequels along with the animated Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films.

Several of Paramount’s biggest films coming in the next few years have faced another release date shift. First up, we have the next two Mission: Impossible movies, which have received the most drastic move. The seventh film moves from September 30, 2022 to July 14, 2023, while the eighth goes from July 7, 2023 to June 28, 2024.

The upcoming animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film from Seth Rogen will now release on August 4, 2023, after being dated for August 11, 2023. Paramount also revealed the release date for their animated Transformers film, which will hit theaters on July 19, 2024, and A Quiet Place film will arrive on September 22, 2023, moving from March 31, 2023. Paramount didn’t share an explanation for the release date moves.

Here is the official synopsis for the most recent film in the Mission: Impossible series:

The best intentions often come back to haunt you. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the film stars Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, Sean Harris, Vanessa Kirby, Henry Cavill, Sian Brooke, Frederick Schmidt, and Angela Bassett.
