Paul Dano dons a Telltale-inspired Riddler suit in an awesome new concept design for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman.
With Paul Dano set to play The Riddler in Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, it’s likely we’ll see a more serious approach to the villain than Jim Carrey’s take on the character in Batman Forever. New artwork shows off what the villain’s costume could look like for the Matt Reeves film, with this design taking inspiration from Batman: The Telltale Series.
The artwork of Paul Dano’s Riddler from digital artist ‘willgray_art’ on Instagram sees the actor wearing the iconic green bowler hat with the question mark symbol on the front. The actor also wears the symbol on both his lapel and tie, while he leans on the character’s signature cane. The Riddler design is dark and intimidating, while still honoring his comic book origins with the green mask he wears. Although Riddler usually battles Batman with in cerebral puzzles rather than fistfights, the question mark cane looks like it could dish out some damage. Take a look at fan edit with Dano below.

Full plot details on The Batman are being kept under wraps, but we know that the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and features a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. Following the Dark Knight during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector, The Batman will also make use of the hero’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous live-action adaptations. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman is currently scheduled to open on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding Robert Pattinson’s upcoming film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more great video content.
