Peacemaker and Terminator 2: Judgement Day star Robert Patrick has compared series creator James Gunn to James Cameron.

Robert Patrick is best known for his role as the T-1000 in James Cameron’s film, Terminator 2: Judgement Day. In the film, he portrayed the primary antagonist who was sent back in time to hunt and kill John Conner while a T-800, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, was sent back to protect him. Since then the actor has appeared in well over 100 film and television projects, mostly in supportive and/or antagonist roles. His role in James Gunn’s Peacemaker is no different.

In the series, Robert Patrick portrays Peacemaker’s father Auggie Smith who is also known as the white supremacists supervillain, the White Dragon, and the leader of the Aryan Empire. The relationship between the two is one of the series’ more complicated subplots which came to a head in the latest episode. Now the actor has given us some insight as to what it is like working with such big people within the industry.

While speaking to Slash Film, Robert Patrick discussed working with both James Cameron and James Gunn and how they’re both masters in their respective professions:

“Well, I knew that James Cameron was a brilliant man. I think James Gun is a brilliant man, and I think James Cameron is a brilliant man. I think they’re in that class with the Elon Musks of the world in their prospective fields and where they lend their talents – I think they’re groundbreaking artists.”

Here is the synopsis for Peacemaker:

PEACEMAKER explores the continuing story of the character that John Cena reprises in the aftermath of executive producer James Gunn’s 2021 film The Suicide Squad – a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it!

Peacemaker was created by James Gunn, who wrote all the episodes and directed five of them. The first season of the HBO Max series will consist of eight episodes, with Brad Anderson, Jody Hill, and Rosemary Rodriguez also directing episodes. Clint Mansell and Kevin Kiner also composed the DC show’s score.

The HBO Max series stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick.

Peacemaker is now streaming on HBO Max, with new episodes dropping every Thursday. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the series and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
