Peacemaker is already finding its footing in the new DC Universe! A teaser for the DC Universe confirms that two Superman actors are set to reprise their roles for a cameo in season 2.
Given that James Gunn was developing Peacemaker season 2 and Superman at the same time, everyone expected a cameo or two to tie together the stories. And while fans have already seen the big screen cameo (which we won’t spoil here), some thought that Christopher Smith’s Justice Gang interview would have been the only tie the series had to the box office juggernaut.
Though it seems fans were aiming a bit low with their expectations. The latest teaser for Peacemaker confirms that two Superman stars will cameo in season 2 of the beloved series. In a blink-and-you it moment, one can see two of Lex Luthor’s henchmen standing behind Rick Flag Sr. The specific henchmen seen are Otis (Terence Rosemore) and Sydney (Stephen Blackehart), and can be spotted just one second into the teaser.
How Lex Luthor Ties Into Peacemaker Season 2
The appearance of Otis and Sydney alongside Rick Flag Sr. suggests that Lex Luthor may have buried his hatchet with the general following the events of Superman. It’s possible that this could be a reluctant alliance, with the duo making a cameo simply joining Rick as a way to bolster his forces to kill Christopher Smith as revenge for his son’s death.
Of course, the question on everyone’s mind is whether or not Lex Luthor will make a cameo in Peacemaker season 2. James Gunn had previously teased that there’s a big cameo in store at the end of the season. While many assumed that would be Superman himself, it’s possible that Sydney and Otis are foreshadowing Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor will appear in the flesh – maybe even resulting in a teaser for the Waller series (which many speculate will focus on the creation of the team Checkmate).
Peacemaker season 2 is set to release on August 21, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
