The first trailer for the upcoming Disney Plus series Percy Jackson and the Olympians has been revealed at D23 Expo.

The fantasy series is based on the book series of the same name by author Rick Riordan. The series was previously adapted into two films in the early 2010s. The Disney Plus series will feature The Adam Project star Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, the demigod son of the Greek god Poseidon.

The first trailer for the series offers a look at Walker Scobell’s Percy Jackson and his arrival at Camp Half-Blood.

Percy Jackson’s Warning To Half-Bloods

The Percy Jackson and the Olympians trailer features a voiceover from Walker Scobell’s Percy Jackson, issuing a dire warning to his fellow demigods, or half-bloods.

The Disney Plus series will follow Scobell’s Percy Jackson as he sets out on a quest across America in search of Zeus’s lost lightning bolt, having been accused of stealing it himself. At Camp Half-Blood, Percy meets other demigods who join him on his adventure.

Joining Walker Scobell in Percy Jackson and the Olympians are Leah Jeffries, who plays Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri, who plays Grover Underwood. The series is due for release in 2024 on Disney Plus.

Original author Rick Riordan and Jon Steinberg are writing the pilot for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, with James Bobin directing. It is being produced under 20th Television.
