Black Adam star Pierce Brosnan shared a close-up photo of himself as Doctor Fate.
One of the most-anticipated films of 2022 is without a doubt Black Adam. The long-awaited cinematic debut of the beloved DC Comics anti-hero played by Dwayne Johnson is set to hit theaters this Fall, and not only will we be introduced to Shazam’s nemesis, but we will also meet the Justice Society of America. One of those members, Doctor Fate, will be played by none other than Pierce Brosnan.
The casting of Brosnan as Doctor Fate caught many DC fans by surprise, but many were quite elated to see the former James Bond actor join the DC Extended Universe. With recent Black Adam reshoots, we’ve already gotten new glimpses at Dwayne Johnson in the suit, but now we have another behind-the-scenes look at Brosnan.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam stars Dwayne Johnson as the titular anti-hero, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui are also on board in undisclosed roles.
