Jason David Frank, who played Tommy Oliver and the first iteration of the Green Ranger in the original Power Rangers TV series, has been a part of the Power Rangers franchise for years, popping in and out and reprising his role numerous times over the years. Both Frank and his Power Rangers co-star Amy Jo Johnson, who played Kimberly Hart/the original Pink Ranger, were recently given cameos in the new Power Rangers movie.
Near the end of the film, both Frank and Johnson make an appearance as citizens of Angel Grove amazed at the sight of the Megazord. With the crowd, Frank and Johnson pull out their cellphones to take pictures of the colossal sight.
Now, Frank has shared a photo of the cameo on his personal Instagram account, stating “Taking pictures is what I do!!” You can see the cameo image below.
Of course, the mid-credits scene in the film teases the introduction of Tommy Oliver in the inevitable sequel, and Frank recently spoke about someone else playing the role, especially with the fact the cast wants to see a female iteration of the character in mind.
Did you catch the cameo in the film? Were you excited to see some of the original Rangers appear? Let us know below!
