Is Krypto the bestest boy? A new trailer and poster for Supergirl shows the DC Universe’s favorite canine back when he was a puppy!
Fans knew ahead of time that there was only going to be one trailer for a superhero movie at this year’s Super Bowl. Even then, the DC Universe is continuing its unorthodox strategy of shifting their promos away from the big game and to its little sibling: the Puppy Bowl. This left many fans drearily tuning in to the canine chicanery to catch a new glimpse at Supergirl.
The trailer itself, much like many trailers for movies so far out in the year, didn’t show much. The new footage gives fans a glimpse at some major action set pieces for the upcoming DC Universe film. However, due to it being at the Puppy Bowl, it also shows off the first time Supergirl meets Krypto. Which means that fans get to see the adorable dog as a puppy!
Krypto’s Puppy Poster
Much like its predecessor, Supergirl seems gearing up to release character posters for all the most important characters in the film. And, as showcased in the trailer, there’s perhaps nobody in the DC Universe who deserves their own poster more than puppy Krypto. The full image of the poster can be seen in the post below:

In truth, any of those familiar with the comic that Supergirl is based on know that the contents of the trailer and poster are a very long wind-up to a very, very painful punch. Yet given that the DC Universe has managed to juggle dark topics with thrilling action before, it’s likely that the pain will be worth it for the story that comes out of it.
