Zack Snyder isn’t done glazing Henry Cavill! The director reveals yet another image of the Man of Steel actor in costume as Superman.
Zack Snyder has recently been taking a trip down memory line, with the director posting a number of behind-the-scenes images from the Snyderverse. Many of these have gone viral as they provide new looks at beloved actors as their respective heroes. Perhaps the most prominent of these have been of Henry Cavill, who only had a handful appearances as Superman after being cast in Man of Steel.
The most recent image actually stands out from the others as it shows a full color still of Henry Cavill in his Superman costume. Zack Snyder has always had a flare for the monochromatic, stretching back long before he helmed Man of Steel, so an image like this is certainly a rare sight. Despite this, it still manages to capture the gravitas so core to this incarnation of the character.
Will Henry Cavill Return As Superman?
Fans of Zack Snyder’s take on the DC Universe have long campaigned for Henry Cavill to step back into the trunks to play Superman one final time. One of the most viral suggestions as to how that could happen in this new age of comic book films is actually by making his return an Elseworlds story divorced from projects like Man of Steel, with the most popular idea being Cavill staring in a Red Son adaptation.
However, both Zack Snyder and Henry Cavill have certainly moved on to greener pastures. Snyder himself has been working closely with Netflix to create original IP for the service. Following his tenure as Superman, Cavill has been working on bringing other major franchises to the silver screen, such as Highlander and Warhammer 40k.
