An unexpected meeting!

It seems the DC Universe just got a whole lot smaller! Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane is reportedly set to meet Anthony Carrigan’s Metamorpho in Superman: Legacy.

Superman: Legacy is expected to feature one of the most fleshed-out supporting casts of any DC Universe film. While many assumed most of the characters would only have interactions with David Corenswet’s Man of Steel, Rachel Brosnahan has confirmed that Lois Lane will meet other DC Comics heroes like Metamorpho.

“It’s so exciting to have been doing this long enough that you run into the same people over and over again.” Brosnahan told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve been such a fan of Anthony [Carrigan] for such a long time, he’s incredible on Barry and I have no doubt that he’s going to be equally as amazing [as Metamorpho]. We’re-we’ve got at least a couple moments together in the film.”

It’s certainly a relief to hear David Corenswet’s supporting cast will mingle in Superman: Legacy, especially as Rachel Brosnahan is set to have a leading role as Lois Lane. Her character meeting Metamorpho certainly makes the new DC Universe being built feel truly lived in.

What to expect from Superman’s DC Universe debut

Superman: Legacy is a much-anticipated project, given that Clark Kent has been an integral part of the DC Universe for over 80 years, with various iterations and adaptations across different media. The movie promises to explore the character’s origins and his struggles to balance his dual identities as Clark and Superman while fighting off villains and saving the world. The choice to focus on the early years of his career is a bold move that could potentially breathe new life into the character and appeal to a younger generation of fans.

James Gunn and Peter Safran told journalists that their vision for the DC Universe includes locked scripts, wiggle room, and a unified storyline across film, television, animation, and video game projects. The two explained that the DC Universe could bring back elements from previous DC regimes, meaning that their eight-to-year plan is not a full reboot.

Superman: Legacy is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
