Regan Aliyah Joins Marvel Studios’ ‘Ironheart’ Cast

Ironheart Marvel Studios Disney Plus Ryan Coogler Anthony Ramos

Regan Aliyah is the latest to join the cast of Marvel Studios’ upcoming Ironheart series for Disney Plus.

Following her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Riri Willaims will make her way to Disney Plus for a solo series. Filming for Ironheart is underway with recent set photos already revealing Williams’ Mark I armor and Anthony Ramos’ villain character who bears a similar resemblance to The Hood.

Ironheart Adds Another Cast Member

According to Deadline, Regan Aliyah from XO and Kitty will also be part of the Ironheart series. In typical Marvel fashion, there’s no word on who Aliyah will play in the project. In addition to Dominique Thorne and Anthony Ramos, the upcoming series will also star Manny Montana, Alden Ehrenreich, Shea Couleé, and Zoe Terakes.

Chinaka Hodge is leading Ironheart as the showrunner with Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes directing episodes. The project is also being produced by Black Panther director Ryan Coogler under Proximity Media. Executive producers on Ironheart include Hodge, Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, and Zoie Nagelhout.

Here is the synopsis for Riri Willaims’ MCU debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever:

“In Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.”

Directed by Ryan Coogler from a script he co-wrote with Joe Robert Cole, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Tenoch Huerta, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett.
