Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark have had a father-son relationship ever since Captain America: Civil War. In Avengers: Infinity War, Tony Stark lost it all when he lost Peter, to the snap. When Spidey came back in Endgame, he was ecstatic to see his father-figure once again. The moment above is the last hug Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr will share in the MCU. It serves as a heartwarming foreshadow to Iron Man passing on the torch to the next leader.
To follow that, the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home movie will show us the world without Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man. The weight of the Avengers will be on Tom Holland’s shoulders now as Peter is now expected to be the world’s new Iron Man. Thor and Captain Marvel are both unavailable and Nick Fury needs new heroes. The friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is no more and Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will now have to fill Iron Man’s shoes. Spider-Man: Far From Home comes to theaters July 2. Hopefully, he’ll be ready for what’s to come next.
