A new concept design puts The Batman star Robert Pattinson in an updated version of the Batsuit Adam West wore in the 1960s series.
While fans are anxiously waiting to see more from Robert Pattinson in The Batman following the first look at the new Dark Knight that arrived earlier this year, a fresh design puts the star in an updated Adam West Batsuit. Interestingly, The Batman star Jeffrey Wright and director Matt Reeves bonded over their shared love for the classic series, which put a light-hearted spin on the Caped Crusader rather than the moodier versions of the hero fans are used to at the moment.
Digital artist George Evangelista revealed the new concept design on Instagram, giving Robert Pattinson a bulkier, armored version of the Adam West suit. It even has the detailing on the cowl where the eyebrow design was on the original costume. It’s also easy to picture this alongside some of the alternate costumes from Batman: Arkham Knight. The suit looks like it could go head-to-head with some of the hero’s larger enemies like Bane, although Dave Bautista recently confirmed he won’t be playing the villain in the film. The design also features a large Bat emblem on his chest alongside some huge gauntlets. It’ll be interesting to see if Robert Pattinson’s vigilante makes any cosmetic changes to his costume in The Batman. Take a look at the design below.

Plot details for The Batman are being kept under lock and key but the project will be centered on Robert Pattinson as a younger Bruce Wayne, chronicling Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector. The Batman will also feature the hero making use of his detective skills more than what we’ve seen before in previous iterations of the character. It is also expected to be the first installment to a new Batman trilogy starring Pattinson.
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, the film stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman is currently set to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news regarding Robert Pattinson and The Batman universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
