New artwork for The Batman depicts Robert Pattinson with a Batman: Noel-inspired Batsuit.
Ever since Robert Pattinson was cast as the new Bruce Wayne for Matt Reeves’ The Batman, fans have been eagerly waiting to see what his version of the Caped Crusader will look like. With filming on Robert Pattinson’s The Batman commencing last week, it appears that those eager to see this rendition of the DC Comics character will have to wait a bit before an official suit reveal. To curb some of the irritation at the lack of a suit reveal, artists have been conjuring fan interpretations of what Robert Pattinson could look like suited up as Batman.
This cool concept design from digital artist “Skull101ify” imagines what Robert Pattinson could look like in the Batman: Noel suit. The Batman: Noel suit is notably more gothic than some of the Batsuits we’ve seen in the past couple of years. Robert Pattinson’s The Batman seems to be honing in on the character’s detective/noir roots, which of course incorporates Gothic elements, so this suit seems to be a perfect match for the 33-year-old actor. What differentiates the Batman: Noel suit from other contemporary outfits is that the Bat symbol is not intermingled between the suit. Rather, it is its own tacked on ornament that stems from the cape. Both are connected together, which makes the Bat symbol pop out more than usual. The Batman: Noel costume is one of the Caped Crusader’s newest outfits, as it made its debut back in 2011, while Christian Bale was still playing the Dark Knight.
