Rosario Dawson, who played Claire Temple in all of Marvel’s Netflix series, has said she would be open to returning to the role for the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again.
Claire Temple first appeared in the MCU in the first season of Daredevil, where she encountered Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock early on and helped patch him up after a fight that had gone particularly badly. The character would go on to appear in every Netflix series leading up to The Defenders.
With Charlie Cox’s Daredevil now returning to the MCU in the Disney Plus series Daredevil: Born Again, Rosario Dawson has discussed the possibility of reprising the role of Claire Temple.
Claire Temple Returns To Marvel
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Rosario Dawson shared her enthusiasm for a potential return to the MCU as Claire Temple in the Daredevil revival series.
Little is known about Daredevil: Born Again. Much of the comic book arc from which it takes its name was already adapted in Season 3 of Daredevil on Netflix, so the new series is not likely to be a straight adaptation of this classic story. Beyond Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays the MCU’s Kingpin, no other returning stars have been confirmed as of yet.
Asked whether she would be interested in returning for the new series, Rosario Dawson said:
“Oh yeah. For sure. You don’t even see her in that last ‘tell Claire to go home’ moment on Luke Cage. So what is that? You know it’s terrible. So, yeah, I’d be super curious, but I’m just so stoked for everybody, though. It’s been a long time coming. I was really excited to know that all of our shows are actually part of the MCU now, with Charlie [Cox] and Vincent [D’Onofrio] coming over into these different projects now. So, yeah, 18 episodes [of Daredevil: Born Again]? I’m there! Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, they know where I am.”
With Daredevil: Born Again not due for release until 2024, Marvel fans will just have to sit tight and wait until nearer the time to find out whether Rosario Dawson is coming back as Claire Temple. Before then, Dawson will be appearing in the Star Wars Disney Plus series Ahsoka in 2023.
Ahead of Born Again, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is set to appear in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. Here’s the synopsis:
“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also appens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.”
Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Benedict Wong, Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass, and Renée Elise Goldsberry.
New episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law hit every Thursday on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the new Disney Plus series and Daredevil: Born Again, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
