A new rumor indicates that Harrison Ford is or was Marvel’s top choice as William Hurt’s replacement as Thaddeus Ross.

William Hurt made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the 2008 film, The Incredible Hulk. He would then largely be absent from the Marvel Cinematic Universe until making a return in Captain America: Civil War and had minor appearances in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Black Widow. The actor passed away in March and it was not clear if Marvel intended to leave the character on the shelf or recast him. It now appears that the studio is opting for the latter of the two.
