Fans are set to see a whole new perspective of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the animated Black Panther spin-off series Eyes of Wakanda. However, according to a new rumor, the series will also feature the MCU debut of Iron Fist.
With Daredevil finally making his grand entrance into the MCU with Spider-Man: No Way Home, Netflix fans assumed it was only a matter of time until the other Defenders made their way onto the scene. It seems they won’t have to wait long, with a new rumor by scooper CanWeGetSomeToast suggesting that Iron Fist will make his first MCU appearance in the new Black Panther animated series Eyes of Wakanda for Disney Plus.
Fans of Danny Rand shouldn’t get their hopes up, though. Black Panther: Eyes of Wakanda is an anthology series focusing on multiple different people who held the mantle of Black Panther. Most likely, the series is meant to test the waters for Iron Fist’s MCU debut, giving fans a lesser-known wielder of the mystical weapon to see if the concept is well-received.
Look Through The Eyes of Wakanda
Many fans were shocked by the recent announcement of a Black Panther animated series being in the works at Disney Plus, especially given the fact it’s currently expected to premiere in 2024. While details about the project remain sparse, the synopsis for Eyes of Wakanda teases a journey through time:
“Throughout Wakandan history, brave warriors have been tasked to travel the world retrieving dangerous Vibranium artifacts. This is their story.”
It seems as though Eyes of Wakanda will be following different Black Panther characters throughout history in their quest to return Vibranium to Wakanda. This synopsis puts the animated project in the same vein as What If…? in being an anthology series. With how beautiful the Black Panther films are, it’s certain this spin-off will also be a feast for the eyes.
