Spider-Man: Brand New Day may have another cameo waiting in the wings! The latest rumor suggests that another MCU hero may play a role in the film.
Fans were on cloud nine when it was confirmed that the rumor of both Hulk and The Punisher appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day was true. While some may call it a cameo fest, it’s an announcement that truly felt that a new era was on the horizon for Spider-Man in the MCU. One that doesn’t treat him as a sidekick, but as an equal.
Yet it seems as though Spider-Man: Brand New Day has at least one more surprise up its sleeve. A rumor from scooper MyTimeToShineHello reveals that at least one more MCU hero is set to play a role in the upcoming film. It’s not clear how big a role they’ll play, be it a cameo or something more akin to the role of Iron Man or Doctor Strange in prior movies, but it’s an exciting prospect for fans nonetheless.
Is Daredevil In Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
The obvious name that came to everyone’s mind when they heard the rumor is Daredevil. Not only was he in the last Spider-Man film, but fans have been begging for the two heroes to cross paths again ever since Charlie Cox’s hero debuted in the MCU. With Spider-Man: Brand New Day already featuring The Punisher in a major role, it’d only make sense for Cox to cameo. Sadly, MyTimeToShineHello did go on to confirm that, currently, Daredevil ISNT in the film.
When it comes to what other MCU heroes could cameo in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the smart bet is Shang-Chi. The film’s director, Destin Daniel Cretton, also helmed the hero’s freshman outing in the franchise. His role in the film could also tee up Tom Holland’s webhead to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, a film which Shang-Chi is set to play a major role.
