Sadie Sink, who joined the series’ second season as Max Mayfield, has already made her jump to the MCU in a currently undisclosed role. But a rumor suggests that she may not be alone for long.
The latest rumor from insider DanielRPK reports that Stranger Things star Joe Keery is reportedly being eyed for a role in a future MCU project. No specific character was mentioned. And, given how often reports like these materialized as nothing (we’re looking at you Ernie Hudson), it’s possible that Keery had a general meeting or was simply thrown onto a list of potential names.
Who Could Joe Keery Play In The MCU?
Taking the rumor as something that could come to pass, there’s plenty of characters that Joe Keery could play in the MCU. Perhaps the most popular role floated for the Stranger Things star is Harry Osborn. Fans have been waiting to see Peter Parker’s best friend in the franchise for years, and Keery certainly has the unnerving affect down thanks to projects like Spree.
However, Joe Keery was also a popular fancast to play the Human Torch in the MCU before the role went to fellow Stranger Things alum Joseph Quinn. Given Marvel is currently in its Multiverse Saga, and Keery himself is a musician, it’s possible that he takes on the role of Rico Richards: the future son of Franklin Richards who plays the guitar.
