Russo Brothers Respond To Mark Ruffalo After ‘Avengers 4’ Wrap Tweet

Avengers 4 Infinity War Marvel Russo Brothers Mark Ruffalo Trailer

Well, that didn’t take long. Mark Ruffalo- let’s call him The Spoiler right now- has a reputation for letting certain things slip when it comes to recent Marvel Studios films, whether planned or by accident. For that, the directing duo of Joe and Anthony Russo “fired” him. As much as you can “fire” someone via Twitter when you aren’t their main boss. But the men behind Avengers: Infinity War had the final say as far as Twitter is concerned, so if they give an order, the only one who can overrule them is maybe Kevin Feige. Or Alan Horn. Or Bob Iger.

But this is about Mark Ruffalo, so let’s stick with him. Recently, the Russo Brothers took to Twitter to announce that they had #wrapped on the fourth Avengers film. Along with their post was an image of some sort of bright object. Mark Ruffalo didn’t take too kindly to that because, in his mind, that’s a huge spoiler, and he made it known in his own tweet. Okay, so that’s the end of the story, right?

Well, no, because then the Russo Brothers got involved again in response to Mark Ruffalo’s recent tweet, telling him that no, Mark, you’re still fired after giving away a massive spoiler on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Here, have a look at the Russos responding to Ruffalo in the response tweet below:

Well, there you go, Ruffalo. You’re grounded. Pack it in and call Edward Norton to reclaim the mantle of Bruce Banner. But of course it’s all in jest and good fun, unless Ruffalo really were to give away something huge. It remains to be seen when, if at all, fans will know about the plot or even slightest hint of a title for the upcoming fourth Avengers film and how it will follow-up on the events of Infinity War.

Oh, but wait. We aren’t finished yet. Seems this news may have been the one thing that made Mark Ruffalo speechless, based on his reply to the Russos:

Doesn’t seem like “Hulk smash” would be the right words to say right about now. What do you think of the Russo Brothers holding firm and “firing” Ruffalo, though? Let us know in the comments below.

Avengers: Infinity War is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
