He also announced that it would be coming out on VHS and Laser Disc, although that was clearly a joke. You can check Reynolds’ tweet below.

Deadpool has been continuously breaking records since its release date and is now the 2nd highest grossing Rated R film at the box office. News on a sequel has been really quiet, but with fox announcing two untitled release dates, green lighting a sequel is likely their next move. Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Directed by Tim Miller, Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, Morena Bacarin, T.J Miller, Gina Carano and Ed Skrein. Deadpool is still in theaters!

May 10?? That’s less than 3 months after it hit theaters! This turnaround is getting nuts. Still, I’ve already pre-ordered it so I don’t mind getting it sooner.

I don’t think they mind that much since it already earned $700 million, and the budget was only $50 million, which is low compared to other comic book movies today.

The real question is when does it release digitally. I’m hoping for sometime in the next couple weeks.
