Deadpool 3 has officially wrapped filming! The film’s star Ryan Reynolds celebrated the end of his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut with a brand new behind-the-scenes photo.
It seems like just yesterday that Deadpool 3 resumed production following the Hollywood strikes. However, with just a few scant weeks of filming, the project has officially wrapped. This was confirmed by Ryan Reynolds on his social media, posting a zoomed-in BTS photo of his suit to celebrate the bittersweet occasion.
Much like the photo, news about Deadpool 3 is likely to come hard and fast now that production is over. The movie is set to hit theaters in just over six months, making it the only tentpole release for the MCU this year. While it has a lot to live up to, it seems Ryan Reynolds and his team are confident in the film they’ve made.
Who else is attached to the Deadpool threequel?
Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3 after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are developing the Deadpool 3 script after penning the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous draft of the project.
While the release of Deadpool 3 is still some way off, Marvel fans can look forward to getting a first glimpse of the movie soon. Given that it is the only Marvel feature slated for release in 2024, expectations are high for a significant promotional push. A trailer reveal during the Super Bowl would not be surprising, considering the film’s solo release spot in Marvel’s 2024 release schedule.
Deadpool 3 is currently expected to be released on July 26, 2024. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to sub
