Deadpool and Wolverine is finally ready to hit the big screen! Ryan Reynolds confirmed that post-production on his latest Marvel outing has ended in a touching Instagram story.
Despite being one of the most highly anticipated Marvel movies in years, the road to Deadpool and Wolverine hasn’t been easy. Between the Hollywood strikes, a delay, and many leaks, it was a fight to get the film to the finish line. However, Ryan Reynolds recently confirmed that post-production on the project has wrapped, sharing the news in a heartfelt Instagram story.
“And that’s all she wrote for post production,” Reynolds wrote in a caption. “Feels like a million years of work went by in a blink. Sitting next to this guy made it all so sweet….hard to walk away.”
The image itself shows Ryan Reynolds in the studio next to Shawn Levy, the director of Deapdool and Wolverine. While some may be shocked production on the project is only wrapping so close to release, it’s important to note the film recently had a round of reshoots and has very extensive CGI throughout. It’s shocking the project is even done this far out!
The Hype Is Real For Deadpool And Wolverine
It’s clear that Deadpool and Wolverine is set to be one of the biggest movies of the year, if not Marvel’s biggest project since Avengers: Endgame. Even before production on the film wrapped, the project was doing gangbusters with ticket sales. It seemed to break almost every R-rated record overnight.
This isn’t even to mention that Deadpool and Wolverine is also getting a same-day release in China. Given the country’s strict censorship laws, especially when it comes to violence and harsh language, this is a massive shock and one that hasn’t been achieved from either of Ryan Reynolds’ past two Marvel outings.
Deadpool and Wolverine is currently expected to be released on July 26, 2024. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
