Ryan Reynolds Shares The First Set Photo From ‘Deadpool 2’

Deadpool 2

Ryan Reynolds has shared the first set photo from the set of his latest film, Deadpool 2. The photo has Reynolds in full Deadpool gear, lying down with his legs crossed, looking like he can’t be bothered with anything as he takes a “nap.” Behind him sits the X-Men mansion in all its glory. This new photo confirms the fact that Deadpool 2 is indeed filming at Hatley Castle in British Columbia, Canada.

Here’s Ryan Reynolds’ photo caption.

“Dropped by X-Mansion. Looked closely for Beast’s lawn bombs before taking well deserved nap.”

The rest of Deadpool 2 is set to film in Vancouver, Canada. And since production on the film has now begun, we can expect Reynolds to be posting a lot on social media, updating us on the film and channeling his character.

Directed by David Leitch, Deadpool 2 stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna.

The film is set to hit theaters on June 1, 2018.

5 Essential Cable Stories To Read Before His Debut In ‘Deadpool 2’

Deadpool 2
Now that it’s official Josh Brolin will be suiting up as Cable in Deadpool 2, it’s time for everyone to get a crash course on the character so they can say “that’s not how it happened in the comic” when they see the movie with their friends.

Nathan Summers, the future son of Cyclops and Jean Grey, first debuted in 1986, but he didn’t make his full debut as Cable until 1990. Rob Liefeld designed him to be a leader more prone to take action than Xavier and that character trait has persisted throughout his long history. Cable has fought alongside the X-Men in the past as well as fought for mutants survival against the government in a dark future.

Cable is the straight-man to Deadpool’s goofball and I can’t wait to see the two of them come together next year in Deadpool 2. Hopefully Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin have the chemistry to bring this legendary bro-mance to the bigscreen, otherwise Fox will be hearing from a lot of angry fans.
