Some roles you choose to forget as Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi apparently forgot they were in Green Lantern together in a hilarious video.
While promoting their upcoming film, Free Guy, Ryan Reynolds and Taika Waititi talked about how they were big fans of each other and have been for a long time. They both really wanted to work with each other and were happy for the opportunity to finally collaborate on something. But then Free Guy co-star Jodie Comer pointed out that they did a film together which both Ryan Reynolds and Taika Waititi both repeatedly denied. Co-star Joe Keery then pointed out that the two were in the 2010 film, Green Lantern together. The two continue to deny this while insisting that their co-stars are thinking of literally any other movie with the word “green” in the title aside from Green Lantern. After Jodie Comer and Joe Keery continued to insist that Ryan Reynolds and Taika Waititi were in Green Lantern the two disappear.

Green Lantern was, of course, one of DC’s biggest disappointments. The film flopped at the box office and was savaged by critics upon its release. Since then, Ryan Reynolds has taken every opportunity to make fun of the 2010 bomb. He most notably made fun of it in his Deadpool films. In the film, Taika Waititi played Ryan Reynolds’s best friend, Thomas Kalmaku and the two did, in fact, share a lot of screen time together. But apparently, it’s a film that both of the actors choose to forget!
