How big is Sadie Sink’s Marvel Cinematic Universe contract? A rumor suggests that the actress may be in it for the long haul, as speculation once more teases her role as Jean Grey.
The MCU contract was once worth its weight in gold. It locked actors in for half a dozen projects at a time, but it gave them consistent, good money. While the importance of a contract from Marvel Studios has waned in relevance when it comes to discussing the franchise, the topic has surfaced once more as reports suggest that Sadie Sink will take a leading role in the Mutant Saga as Jean Grey.
And it certainly seems as though Sadie Sink is getting the old-school Marvel Studios treatment when it comes to her contract. A rumor from Hollywood insider MyTimeToShineHello suggests that the Stranger Things actress has signed on for five movies, with an option to extend the contract for TV shows. Given this is the beefiest contract fans have heard about in quite some time, its decently certain that Sink will be playing Jean Grey (or another comparably big role in the Mutant Saga).
Sadie Sink’s Marvel Contract
If this rumor is true, it’s likely that fans already know two of the five films in Sadie Sink’s contract: Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the X-Men reboot. It’s also been heavily rumored that she’ll appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, so that’s three. And if one is to assume she’ll appear in an entire X-Men trilogy as Jean Grey, that’s all five right there.
However, it’s more likely than not that this contract is only for “Phase 1” of the Mutant Saga. Sadie Sink is too big of a name to only have her cameo in two films outside of the X-Men trilogy as Jean Grey. It’s almost certain that she’ll get a solo movie, not to mention any recruitment scenes there are for characters like Gambit, Wolverine, and Rogue.
