Marvel Studios has hired Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes to direct episodes of the upcoming Ironheart series.
Ironheart continues to ramp up production, with Marvel Studios revealing that Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes will direct episodes of the series. Bailey will direct the first three episodes, while Barnes will wrap the season up with the final three.
The upcoming Marvel series will follow Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, following her MCU introduction in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In the comics, Williams notably develops an Iron Man suit of her own as an MIT student.
Sam Bailey’s previous work includes Netflix’s Dear White People, East of La Brea, Brown Girls, and You’re So Talented. Angela Barnes is coming off of her work on Atlanta season four and has also helmed episodes of Mythic Quest and Blindspotting.
