What secrets is Nick Fury keeping?

Secret Invasion star Samuel L. Jackson has shared a brand new behind-the-scene photo of Nick Fury.

Nick Fury isn’t wearing his eye patch! Production on Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion is currently underway. The Disney Plus series will adapt the comic storyline of the same name, which sees Skrulls infiltrating all aspects of human life. Details are slim on the adaptation but it’s sure to be filled with plenty of twists and turns that will leave Marvel fans debating who really is and isn’t a green-colored alien.

With Samuel L. Jackson set to return as Nick Fury, the Secret Invasion series should hopefully provide clarity regarding what the SHIELD agent has been up to since the last time we saw him in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Taking to Instagram, Jackson shared a photo of his character without his scar and the eye patch that shield it away. The star can be seen wearing a shirt of Nick Fury that does rock the eye patch.

What has us really excited is the star’s caption, which teases the lack of the scar and the eye patch by calling it an “Old School Fury Day.” Is Samuel L. Jackson hinting that we’ll see a younger version of Nick Fury in Secret Invasion? We saw a de-aged version of the character in Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, so it’s possible that the Disney Plus series could be dipping into flashback territory. Or is he just sharing the BTS photo as is? Only time will tell.
