‘Black Widow’ Character Breakdowns Tease Main Villain & Possible Allies

That Hashtag Show has revealed a set of character breaks for Marvel’s upcoming Black Widow film starring Scarlett Johansson.

Plot details on the standalone film remain under wraps, however, thanks to these new breakdowns, fans can get an idea of what to expect from the female-led superhero film. According to the site, the production is looking for a male actor to star at the main villain, describing the character as “exciting”. The studio is reportedly open to the actor’s ethnicity for the role.

In addition, the site has revealed four possible allies for Black Widow. The first two are said to be more contemporary roles. The studio is reportedly looking for a “kick ass” female character likened to a “female Bond” and a “male with an emphasis on African, Middle Eastern or East Indian actors.” In addition, Marvel is said to be looking a European Caucasian female and European Caucasian male, both in the age range of 50-60-years old.

The breakdowns also tease a secondary villain for the project, described her as “conniving female villian,” in her 50s. Lastly, Marvel reportedly wants a young actor in his 20s to play a supporting character that has been described as a “bookish American.”

In the comics, Natasha Romanoff was trained by the Winter Soldier himself, Bucky Barnes played by Sebastian Stan in the films.

Cate Shortland (Lore) is set to direct the project centered on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most popular female character from a script written by Jac Schaeffer. Schaeffer is best known for writing Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, and the 2009 sci-fi romance TiMER which she also directed.
