Scarlett Johansson’s ‘Black Widow’ Officially Wraps Production

Stuntwoman Lucy-Jayne Murray shared a behind-the-scenes photo to announced production on Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow has wrapped.

Next summer, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow will finally take the lead in her own standalone film, a decade after having debuted in Iron Man 2. While details on Black Widow are slim, fans can undoubtedly expect the Scarlett Johansson film to feature a number of action-packed fight sequences.

To help bring those action scenes to life, the Black Widow team recruited stuntwoman Lucy Jayne Murray, whose previous work includes Wonder Woman and 2019’s Aladdin. Now, Murray has taken to her Instagram account to announce Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow has completed production and shared a photo of the team to express her gratitude to all of them.

Full plot details on Marvel Studios’ Black Widow are currently under wraps, though it has been revealed that the film is set after the events of Captain America: Civil War and will see Scarlett Johansson’s Nathasha Romanoff take on the villainous Taskmaster. The film will also mark the Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of Yelena Belova, the second modern-era character to use the Black Widow title in the comics.

Directed by Cate Shortland from a script written by Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson, Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, Ray Winstone, Olivier Richters, and Rachel Weisz.

Black Widow will be released in theaters on May 1, 2020.
