Disney and Marvel Studios are launching an Oscar campaign for Black Widow, which includes a nomination push for stars Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh.

Scarlett Johansson may have sued her former employer but they’re still hoping to see her win an Oscar. Although Black Widow came out a little too late by most people’s standards, many were happy to see Natasha Romanoff return for one final adventure, this time with her surrogate family. The Marvel-produced action-thriller boasted a variety of new characters, including Florence Pugh’s Yelena, who functioned as Natasha’s younger, more irreverent sister.

The chemistry between the two surrogate sisters was highly praised, as were the individual performances were given by Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh. Seeing as Disney is moving forward with an Oscar campaign for the Marvel film, it’s no surprise that the studio is pushing for Johansson to land a Best Actress nomination and for Pugh to receive a nod for Best Supporting Actress.

Marvel Studios is also petitioning for Rachel Weisz and Olga Kurylenko to get some love in the Best Supporting Actress category. As for David Harbour, William Hurt, Ray Winstone, and O-T Fagbenle? Disney is hoping to see them land a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Black Widow.

Below you can check out the rest of the awards Marvel and Disney are gunning for. Interestingly, Marvel Studios is also pushing for the nominations of Eternals.
