New ‘Scream VI’ Image Puts The Spotlight On Ghostface

Ghostface never fails to deliver!

Scream VI Ghostface

Ghostface has become a household name in the world of horror movies. Ever since the original Scream movie was released back in 1996, Ghostface’s mask and cloak have become a symbol of terror for moviegoers. With the sixth Scream movie hitting theaters next month, IGN has revealed a new image of the slasher icon in action. You can check out the latest Scream VI image below.

Ghostface Scream 6

Unlike the previous incarnations of the Ghostface killer, this one has been given a more modern and sleek look. The iconic mask and cloak are still present, of course, but they have been updated to reflect a more contemporary style for Scream VI.

The latest trailer for the next installment in the Scream franchise was released online this past January, showcasing the return of Ghostface and the continuation of the slasher series. The movie features the return of several Woodsboro survivors who were last seen in 2022’s Scream.

Everything we know about Scream VI

Scream directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett return to direct VI, working from a script by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Franchise creator Kevin Williamson is executive producing the movie. William Sherak and Paul Neinstein are also on board as producers.

Courteney Cox, Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, Hayden Panettiere and Jasmin Savoy Brown are reprising their Scream roles for VI. Dermot Mulroney, Henry Czerny, Samara Weaving and Tony Revolori are among the franchise newcomers.

Scream VI is the first entry in the series not to feature horror icon Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott. Campbell dropped out of the film after being presented with an offer that did not satisfy her. “I did not feel that what I was being offered equated to the value that I bring to this franchise, and have brought to this franchise, for 25 years,” Campbell told People.

Scream VI is currently slated to hit theaters on March 10, 2023. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the series and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
