New ‘Shazam! Fury Of The Gods’ Trailer Debuts As Tickets Go On Sale

With Shazam! Fury of the Gods hitting theaters next month, Warner Bros. has treated fans to a new trailer for the DC Universe, announcing that tickets for it are now on sale. You can watch the sneak peek below.

The trailer is packed with action, humor a fresh look at the villainous Daughters of Atlas, played by Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu and Rachel Zegler. It also features the return of the original cast, including Zachary Levi as the titular hero, Shazam, with Asher Angel as his teenage alter-ego Billy Batson. The trailer promises a bigger and bolder adventure for the team of teenage superheroes, as they battle mythological monsters and face more challenges.

Director David F. Sandberg recently announced that Shazam! Fury of the Gods has already been completed ahead of its March release. The synopsis reads as follows: “Bestowed with the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster kids are still learning how to juggle teenage life with having adult Super Hero alter-egos. But when the Daughters of Atlas, a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy—aka Shazam—and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world.”

In addition to Shazam! Fury of the GodsThe FlashBlue Beetle and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom are also currently in various stages of post-production at Warner Bros. Discovery, with all four DC Universe movies set to hit theaters this year. Will the characters from those movies make appearances in the new DC Universe? Only newly-named DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran Safran know.

David F. Sandberg directed Shazam! Fury of the Gods from a script written by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan, Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, D.J. Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Marta Millans, Cooper Andrews, Djimon Hounsou, Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren.
