Our first look at Death?

A new set photo may have revealed our first look at Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death in the upcoming Netflix series, The Sandman.

It’s been a long road to get to The Sandman series and the journey isn’t quite over yet. Originally a film adaptation was in the works with David S. Goyer set to produce the film alongside the comic’s original writer, Neil Gaiman with Joseph Gordon-Levitt set to star and direct the film. The project eventually fell apart and the property went over to Netflix where it has been in production since October of last year.

Offical looks for the characters in the upcoming Netflix show are hard to come by but, on occasion, a leaked image will pop up giving us a hint as to what the upcoming Sandman series is going for. Last month a set photo and video gave us our first look at Tom Sturridge as Morphius. Now we may have our first look at Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death.

In the comics, Death appears as a goth girl usually dressed in a black top and jeans. While this has not been confirmed, a new set photo from Netflix’s The Sandman appears to show Kirby Howell-Baptiste as the most powerful member of The Endless. You can see the full image below:
