Is Shang-Chi 2 finally on its way? A rumor suggests production may soon start on the sequel, potentially featuring Iron Fist and the Agents of Atlas.
Shang-Chi is one of the true hidden gems of the Multiverse Saga, with the project often being overlooked as one of the all-time great MCU films. Which is why it’s so perplexing that progress on a sequel has gone essentially nowhere. While it’s understandable given writer and director Destin Daniel Cretton has been busy with at least three other projects in the franchise, fans are clearly itching for any news about Shang-Chi 2.
Yet after almost half a decade of waiting, production may finally be ramping up on Shang-Chi 2. This is because Marvel recently registered a new production company, which happens soon before any MCU project starts filming, called “Atlas Hall”. Many believe this to be related to the sequel as “Atlas” could refer to the “Agents of Atlas”, a team commonly associated with the character in the comics and which has long been the center of the MCU rumor mill.
Will Iron Fist Be In Shang-Chi 2?
This speculation is further supported by a new rumor report from The Cosmic Circus. The outlet, which too supported the idea that “Atlas Hall” could be the production company for Shang-Chi 2, reveals that the Atlas Foundation will be key players in the sequel (whenever it comes) and will set the stage for the Agents of Atlas to be formed later down the line in the MCU.
However, the Agents of Atlas wouldn’t be the only new characters appearing in Shang-Chi 2. The outlet also suggests that Iron Fist could appear in the sequel. They make sure to specify that the studio is considering Lin Lei to be the version of Iron Fist to appear in the MCU, which is supported by the character getting a recent push in popularity by appearing in Marvel Rivals. Though if that’s true, maybe Luna Snow will be hitting the silver screen soon!
