New Line Cinema’s highly-anticipated new DC Extended Universe film Shazam! is currently undergoing some additional photography in Toronto. According to director David F. Sandberg, these reshoots are nothing to be too worked up about and are standard routine for big productions like this.

During the reshoot process, Sandberg shared a set photo of two stand-ins being used for the upcoming film. These two stand-ins are likely for Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer) and Shazam (Zachary Levi) respectively, given the wardrobe choices of both of these individuals.

You can check out Sandberg’s set photo down below.

As you can see, Sandberg has a good laugh when it comes to the wardrobe choices given to the Shazam! stand-ins. Just from set photos and early footage alone, it just goes to show everyone that this film will deviate heavily from the last few films in the DC Extended Universe while also being the most aware of its existence within that continuity at the same time. Talk about an anomaly.

Here is the synopsis for Shazam!:

“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”

Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Djimon Honsou, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Faithe Herman, Cooper Andrews and Marta Millan.

Shazam! zaps into theaters on April 5, 2019.
