Concept art from Shazam! shows off an early design of the Seven Deadly Enemies Of Man’s Wrath.
Shazam! greatly expanded the DC Extended Universe by introducing us to one of the franchise’s oldest and metaphoric villains, the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man or The Seven Deadly Sins. Shazam!‘s primary antagonist, Dr. Sivana, used the Seven Deadly Sins throughout the film as his evil-henchmen of sorts. One of the most poignant moments where the Sins are used is when Dr. Sivana, played by Mark Strong, kills the Sivana Industries’ board members, which include his father and brother.
While all the sins from Shazam! were sinister, the most menacing has to be Wrath, who sports piercing teeth. An early concept art of the villain has been released by artist Jerad S. Merantz, who briefly worked on the character.
The concept art of Shazam! is absolutely bone-chilling and could easily double as a painting to grace a spooky, old home or a t-shirt design for a death metal band. The design of Wrath also evokes memories of the Balrog from The Lord of the Rings with the color scheme and rippled, scale-like body. At the end of the film, Shazam! and his friends bring Sivana to justice and send the Seven Deadly Enemies Of Man back to their prison.

Here is the official synopsis for the first Shazam! film:
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quick.
Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans and Djimon Hounsou.
Shazam! is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Zachary Levi and the Shazam! sequel as we learn it. You can also subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content in the future!
