Shazam! writer Henry Gayden is revealing cut screenplay pages from the film in order to raise money for Black Lives Matter.

Late last month, a man by the name of George Floyd died while in police custody, prompting protests all across the United States and the world. People in Hollywood have also spoken up on the matter in support of the protests, including Star Wars actor John Boyega. Now one of the writers of Shazam! has joined the movement in a different way.

Earlier today, Shazam! writer Henry Gayden announced that he would be posting pages of cut scenes from the film, asking people to donate to Black Lives matter and other charities that support the cause. You can see the pages the writer has posted below:

What do you all make of these cut scenes? Do you wish that they had made it into the final film? Are you glad to see Henry Gayden is posting them to raise money for Black Lives Matter? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Here is the official synopsis for Shazam!:

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quick.

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans and Djimon Hounsou.

Shazam! is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Shazam! and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more great video content!
