‘Shazam!’: Zachary Levi Ready To Battle Dwayne Johnson As Black Adam

DCEU Shazam! Zachary Levi Dwayne Johnson Black Adam The Rock David F. Sandberg

During a recent appearance at Baltimore Comic Con, Shazam! actor Zachary Levi seemed ready and eager to battle Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam.

During the appearance he was asked about the long awaited Black Adam film staring Dwayne Johnson. Sadly Levi could not provide any details but stated that he was ready to fight Dwayne Johnson and beat the crap out of him:

“I don’t know when they’re going to make that standalone live-action movie but I know that’s the plan. I hope that eventually Shazam and Black Adam get to fight each other because I’d like to kick The Rock’s ass. Because that’s what would happen, right?”

While the fight may not go down the way Zachary Levi imagines it would none the less be a sight.

The Black Adam film, starring Dwayne Johnson, was one of the earlier projects that was announced before the debut of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Rock was rumored to have a role in the film before the project was officially announced. Since then, the Black Adam film has been stuck in development and there is currently no word on when the film may enter production.

What do you all make of Zachary Levi’s enthusiasm? Would you like to see him battle Dwayne Johnson’s character? Would it only make sense to introduce him in a Shazam! film? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Grace Fulton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand and Mark Strong as Doctor Sivana. Here’s the official synopsis:

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

Shazam! hits theaters on April 5, 2019.
