She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has delivered its first post-credits at the end of its first episode and it answers a Captain America question that’s been plaguing Jennifer Walters and MCU fans alike.

She-Hulk is taking a more comedic look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the MCU has never been averse to a few quips and comedy moments, the new Disney Plus series delivers a reluctant fourth-wall breaking heroine who’s not afraid to poke fun at Earth’s mightiest heroes and ask the hard questions.

The first episode addresses a question some fans have long been asking about Marvel’s first Captain America, Steve Rogers, with Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters wondering whether Steve was a virgin.

He Can Do This All Day…

After Tatiana Maslany’s Jen is seen asking her cousin, Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, about Steve’s antics or lack thereof earlier in the episode, a post-credits scene finally delivers the answer – and it’s canon.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law‘s first episode ends with a post-credits scene that sees Jen and Bruce drinking in a bar together. As Jen laments that Captain America “did not deserve to die a virgin,” Bruce finally reveals that Steve lost his virginity to a girl on the USO tour in 1943. And now She-Hulk head writer Jessica Gao has confirmed that’s canon.

“Yes, that is straight from Kevin [Feige, president of Marvel Studios]’s golden mouth,” said Gao while talking to Variety about She-Hulk, confirming the episode’s Captain America reveal was Kevin Feige’s official answer to the much-debated question.

Jessica Gao also revealed Jen’s questions about Captain America’s sexual history were originally a running gag throughout the series, until Kevin Feige gave her the official answer:

“We just started putting it in scripts. There used to be a season-long runner where the thing that is constantly gnawing away at Jen is this question of whether or not Steve Rogers had ever had sex. You just regularly see her like googling it, talking about it. You got the sense that she was just constantly pestering people in her life, this question that was burning away at her soul. I can’t describe to you how thrilled and shocked I was that not only was Kevin on board with answering the question, that he supplied me with the canon answer.”

It’s perhaps not one of the Marvel mysteries fans were expecting to see resolved in a Disney Plus series, but She-Hulk has provided a definitive answer nonetheless. Steve Rogers didn’t let “America’s ass” go to waste.
