New ‘Shang-Chi’ Trailer Promises Action-Packed Martial Arts Adventure

Marvel Studios has released the second trailer for Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

2020 may have been a drought for Marvel fans but this year is kicking off to have one of the studio’s most legendary slates. One of the most anticipated films in the Marvel slate, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has just received a second action-packed trailer. Set to kick off Marvel’s fall slate, which also consists of Eternals and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Shang-Chi is set to be Marvel’s first Asian-American-led franchise. The trailer, released during the NBA Countdown on ESPN, shows off more of Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi in action.

The action-packed trailer for the upcoming Simu Liu film gives further insight into Shang-Chi’s backstory and features some of the film’s supporting characters, including Tony Leung’s Wenwu, a.k.a. The Mandarin. As expected, the trailer also shows off more of the film’s action-packed martial arts scenes, which are sure to be the project’s highlight.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a script written by David Callaham, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Ronny Chieng and Dallas Liu. Here’s the official synopsis for the Marvel Studios project:

“Simu Liu stars as Shang-Chi in Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings. Shang-Chi must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.”
